Training Update

So we started to plan the Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) ride in the summer of 2022. We are so happy to have raised the amount of money we have so far for Parkinson's UK and that's thanks to you!

It only seems right that we give you an update on where we are with our training! Over the past few months we have been significantly ramping up our mileage (or kilometrage for our metric fans), most weekends we have managed to get 160+ km (100 mile) rides which is just shy of what we will be experiencing on our longest days through the event.

In summary, we are in a pretty good place in terms of fitness and have now started to train with the additional weight attached to the bikes, this is to mimic what we will likely be travelling with during the event. Below are a few snippets from our ride yesterday!

Here we are not long into our 100km training ride fixing a puncture on Luke's bike. And yes... I like the colour pink.

Good chance to get a couple of shots of the bikes (minus a front wheel on Luke's! 🤣). We will be posting a bit more information on what we are using for the ride nearer the time.

Found a good opportunity for a picture of the bikes together leaning precariously against a sign post.

And finally a picture of the finished result from this particular training ride.
